Troop 376 was established in March 1976, and Troop 5376 followed in February 2019. Both troops are proudly chartered by Oak Hills Presbyterian Church.
Our mission is to foster the development of moral strength and character, active citizenship, and robust physical, mental, emotional, and leadership skills. We believe in a holistic approach where a scout's success is measured not only by their acquisition of new skills but also by the active participation of parents and family, which we strongly encourage.
We are committed to upholding Scouting America’s policies, regulations, and guidelines, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment for all our scouts.
Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Scouting program of Scouting America. A Scout who achieves this rank is known as an Eagle Scout or simply an Eagle. Since its introduction in 1911, more than 2 million young men have earned the Eagle Scout rank. The title of Eagle Scout is a lifelong honor, encapsulated by the phrase “Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.”
To attain this prestigious rank, a Scout must earn at least 21 Merit Badges and demonstrate Scout Spirit by adhering to the Scout Oath and Law, as well as through service and leadership. One of the key requirements is an extensive service project that the Scout must plan, develop, and lead.
Eagle Scouts are awarded a medal and a badge in recognition of their significant accomplishments. Additional recognition can be earned through Eagle Palms, which are awarded for completing extra tenure, leadership, and Merit Badge requirements.
